Fans of the late Joe Strummer are being urged to vote for the world's first concrete building to win BBC2's Restoration series. The Strummerville charity, set up in the Clash star's memory, want to make Castle House in Bridgwater their headquarters. But first they need it to win the second run of Restoration which offers viewers a chance to vote and help save one of 21 endangered buildings in the UK. If it wins, the organisation aims to convert the building into the Concrete Casbah which would provide rehearsal space and studio time to young people who want to make music. Voting for the first round of the competition is from 9pm on July 25 through to midnight on July 26 and for further information visit bbc.co.uk/restoration Strummer, who died from a heart attack aged 50 in 2002, spent the last years of his life in Bridgwater, and Castle House was one of his favourite buildings.
