Thunderbird 3 landed in Trafalgar Square to mark the release of the new Thunderbirds movie.

The red spacecraft, 60ft tall and weighing in at 7.5 tons, dominated the view next to Nelson's Column.

Thunderbirds was largely shot in London and Film London is the strategic agency for film and media in the capital.

Th film is about 15-year-old Alan Tracy who dreams of joining his family's operation, the world famous International Rescue, but he has a lot to prove before his father, Jeff Tracy, will take him seriously.
