 Ananova:
Britney to release Bobby Brown song

Britney Spears' next single will be My Prerogative, a version of Bobby Brown's 1988 hit.

The song is due to be included on her upcoming Greatest Hits album due to be released in the US on November 16.

Since injuring her knee while filming her Outrageous video, Britney has cancelled a 35-date second North American leg of her Onyx Tour and an appearance at the Teen Choice Awards in California.

Some commentators have suggested Britney's decision to cover My Prerogative is a swipe at the media intrusion into her private life especially her decision to marry dancer Kevin Federline.

The song goes, "Everybody's talking all this stuff about me, Why don't they just let me live, I don't need commission, Make my own decisions, That's my prerogative."

My Prerogative will be one of two new tracks on Britney's hits collection, according to MTV. A separate greatest hits DVD is also due for release.

Britney's last two singles, Everytime and Toxic, both topped the UK chart earlier this year.
