Tina Turner is set to release a new album and single. She will release a new two-disc compilation album of her hits, All The Best, on November 1 and a newly recorded song, Open Arms, set for release as a single on October 25. As well as Open Arms produced by Jimmy Hogarth the new CD will include two other new songs -Complicated Disaster produced by Steve Robson and Something Special produced by Trevor Horn. The 33-track album includes her collaborations with former husband Ike Turner - River Deep Mountain High, Proud Mary and Nutbush City Limits as well as her solo hits such as Let's Stay Together, What's Love Got To Do With It, We Don't Need Another Hero, Golden Eye and When The Heartache Is Over. The album also contains a live version of Addicted To Love and her duets with Italian singer Eros Ramazotti on Cose della Vita, with David Bowie on Tonight and with Bryan Adams on It's Only Love. Tina is due to make a series of appearances on European television to promote the album. The 64-year-old will be seen as the Goddess Kali in Merchant Ivory's The Goddess due for release next spring. Since retiring from touring four years ago Turner has made only occasional live appearances. Earlier this year she performed at Oprah Winfrey's 50th birthday party concert in Chicago. |
