Des O'Connor has became a father for the fifth time - at the age of 72.

The Sun says he was "over the moon" after fiancée Jodie Brooke-Wilson, 35, gave birth to an 8lb boy at a London hospital.

Des named the boy - his first son - Adam Harrison Campbell O'Connor.

A spokesman for the couple said that mother and baby were happy and very well. Adam is singer-songwriter Jodie's first child.

O'Connor has four daughters, Karen, 41, Tracy-Jane, 40, Samantha, 31, and Kristina, 16 - from his three previous marriages.

The host of ITV's Today With Des And Mel, has been with Jodie for 14 years.

His co-host Melanie Sykes, 37, has just given birth to her second baby, a boy called Valentino.

She said: "I'm delighted for Des and Jodie. I can't wait for my little fella to meet their little fella."
