Billy Bob Thornton's girlfriend has given birth to a baby girl.

The girl, named Bella, weighed six pounds, one-and-a-half ounces, publicist Arnold Robinson said.

Connie Angland, 39, and the baby were both said to be doing well.

It is the fourth child for Thornton, 49, and Angland's first.

Thornton stars in the upcoming Friday Night Lights, in which he plays a high school football coach in Odessa, Texas. He played Davy Crockett in last year's The Alamo.

Thornton, who has three children from two previous marriages, divorced actress Angelina Jolie in May 2003.
