Pamela Anderson is set to star in a new television sitcom.

The former Baywatch star will play a woman with a weakness for wild men in the as-yet-unnamed comedy, which will be directed by Steven Levitan reports Femalefirst.co.uk.

The Frasier producer said: "I think Pamela has reached icon status because she's smart and she's self-aware.

"She has such a presence. She's funny and has a tremendous sense of self."
