Queen line up six date UK tour

Queen's first tour for 19 years will see the band play six arena shows in the UK in May.

According to Queen fansite www.queenzone.com the UK dates, so far unconfirmed, will begin at the Metro Arena, Newcastle, on May 3 and continue with concerts at the Manchester Evening News Arena on May 4, NEC Birmingham, May 6, Cardiff International Arena, May 7, Hallam Arena, May 9 and Wembley Arena Pavilion, London, May 11.

Queen's comeback tour will begin at the already confirmed Brixton Academy, London, on March 28.

The band will then play a series of 15 dates in Europe in April playing arena shows in France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany Czech Republic, Belgium and Germany before the UK dates.

Guitarist Brian May has so far not confirmed the dates, but has said the band will be unable to perform in Scotland and Ireland on the upcoming European tour because of singer Paul Rodgers' "commitments which have to be honoured" with group Bad Company.
