Nicole Richie says she will never get liposuction, after watching the procedure while filming The Simple Life.

The new series of The Simple Life sees Nicole and Paris Hilton traveling around America working as interns in a variety of different jobs along the way.

One of the jobs involved working in a doctor's surgery, but Nicole didn't enjoy the experience reports Contactmusic.com.

She said: "I didn't think that I would be grossed out, 'cause I'm really never grossed out. And they had me as a person to keep this woman calm that was getting liposuction. She was awake, I actually thought that she would be asleep.

"They asked me to keep her calm and so I'm standing there and the thing goes in and I start banging my head against the wall. I'm like, 'Oh my God! It's gross! It looks like orange juice!' And the doctor's like, 'Shhh!'

"I couldn't lie to her. It was disgusting! I couldn't do the surgery. I asked but they said no."
