Konnie Huq has become the latest celebrity to get the boot from Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.

The Blue Peter presenter alongside Chris Colquhoun and Gina Yashere received the least votes from the public.

The judges decided to keep Gina in the academy leaving it up to the celebrities to choose between Konnie and Chris reports the Fame Academy website.

Konnie received 3 votes, but Chris won 6 votes from his fellow celebrities.

Konnie's rendition of Kids in America received mixed praise from the judges with Craig saying she "crucified that song" and "it was absolutely dreadful'" but "your confidence was fantastic".

Speaking about her performance Konnie said: "I went to pieces. It is so nervewracking!"
