Ananova:

David Walliams has been signed up for his first movie.

The Little Britain star will appear alongside OC actress Mischa Barton in The Decameron.

He will play a comic Italian fisherman while Mischa is the leading lady Pampinea reports The Sun.

The film is based on a 14th century literary classic about young Florentines during the Black Plague.

The movie will be released next year.
