Britney Spears is to star in a film set around motor racing.

She will star in and produce the film called Trading Paint.

The plot revolves around the rivalry between two racing drivers who lost touch after both surviving a terrible crash. Years later they are brought together for a final race by a young woman - a part likely to be played by Spears.

Britney made her movie debut in the film Crossroads in 2002 reports IOL.com.

She is expecting her first child with husband Kevin Federline later this year.
