 Ananova:
Aardman planning prehistoric comedy

Aardman Animation has announced plans for a new feature film to follow up Wallace And Gromit's first big screen outing.

Wallace and Gromit: Curse Of The Were-Rabbit is promoted at Cannes

Crood Awakening will mark the Bristol-based company's fourth collaboration with DreamWorks.

The CG film, a prehistoric comedy, will be written by John Cleese.

Wallace And Gromit: Curse Of The Were-Rabbit - due out in the UK in October - was this week given a special 20-minute preview screening at the Cannes Film Festival.

Aardman chief Peter Lord told www.empireonline.co.uk: "This has been super-duper, super-secret up until now. It's going to be a great comedy about culture clashes in the prehistoric age, involving a completely unevolved tribe and a super-evolved tribe."

No director is yet attached to the project, but Nick Park has confirmed that he's too busy to take the helm.
