| Kasabian to write World Cup song |
Kasabian are to write and record England's official 2006 World Cup song.
The group were talked into writing the song by Sky Sports Soccer AM presenter Tim Lovejoy.
The band, Serge Pizzorno, Tom Meighan, Chris Karloff and Chris Edwards have been given the go-ahead by the FA.
According to The Sun a source said: "Tim is good mates with Serge and Tom and they had joked about doing the song in the past. It was mentioned again recently and this time they decided to go for it. The FA have given the plan the green light so the idea is no up and running."
