Paul McCartney has hit back at Yoko Ono, calling her not the "brightest of buttons". It comes after Yoko reportedly ridiculed his songs last week, reports the Mirror. Macca said: "I don't take any notice of her. She's John's wife so I have to respect her for that, but I don't think she's the brightest of buttons. "She's said some particularly daft things in her time. Her life is dedicated to putting me down but I attempt very strongly not to put her down." Yoko, 72, made her comment as she accepted a gong on John's behalf at last week's Q awards in London. She revealed that John used to wonder why people covered Paul's songs more often than they covered his. She said: "I said: "'You're a good songwriter. It's not June with spoon you write"." |
