Gwyneth Paltrow has been complaining about life in the UK.

During an interview with the US edition of Marie Claire she says she finds the UK's streets are dirty, the weather cold and its customer services "rubbish".

She advised fellow Americans planning a trip to the UK: "Bring a raincoat, definitely ... or at least a little umbrella that can fit in your bag, because it always does rain."

However, she admits that after years of finding Britain "cold and depressing" she has grown to like it.

The actress lives in London with husband Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and their daughter Apple.
