Ben Stiller has agreed to star in and produce the film Big Wave.

The film, based on an idea by Stiller, is a sports comedy reports Variety.

It will follow a surfer who, after being sidelined for years following a wipeout, decides to surf again in order to raise money to save a convalescent home for old surfers.

Filming is due to start next month.
