Alicia Keys has joined the cast of The Nanny Diaries.

According to Variety the film stars Scarlett Johansson as a working-class woman from New Jersey who becomes a nanny to a wealthy Manhattan family.

Keys will play Johansson's best friend.

Chris Evans, Laura Linney, Paul Giamatti and Donna Murphy will also star in the film.

It will begin shooting in New York later this month.
