Norah Jones admits she ended up making her acting debut by accident. The singer stars in My Blueberry Nights with Jude Law. But at first she thought the director only wanted her to do the music, reports Time magazine. Jones said: "It's kind of nutty. I got a call that this filmmaker, Wong Kar Wai, wanted to meet with me. So, OK, I'll have lunch with him, because I thought he wanted music. "Then he asked me if I wanted to be in a movie, and I said 'I love film. I'd love to try it, but I don't know if I can act.' And he said 'Ah, you'll be fine.'" My Blueberry Nights sees Jones playing a young woman who takes a soul-searching journey across America to resolve her questions about love. She said: "It made me so nervous. I agreed to do the movie and had no idea who else would be in it. I just figured he wouldn't have actors of that calibre and fame because I thought it was a little indie movie. "All of a sudden, it was Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz, David Strathairn and Jude Law, and it's like 'Oh, what'd I get myself into?' "But it was too late to pull out. If it doesn't work, though, I hope I can always go back to my day job."
