Marilyn Manson said he had the chance to work with Eminem - but refused because he is too "over-the-top".

The shock-rocker doesn't name the song, but by the description it seems to be Stan, the Detroit rapper's No 1 hit back in 2000 featuring the then-unknown Dido.

"The song he asked me to sing was - and this may sounds strange - too misogynistic," Manson told Spin magazine. "It was the one about killing his girlfriend and putting her in the trunk."

"It was too over-the-top for me to associate with. First of all, I don't drive. And I wouldn't put a girl in a trunk; that's where I keep other stuff. That's my dry, deadpan humour kicking in," he added.
