Kylie Minogue will appear on the next series of X Factor as a singing coach for the hopefuls.

Minogue was recruited for the job by sister Dannii, who recently replaced Louis Walsh as a judge on the show.

According to the Daily Mirror, Kylie will teach the finalists to sing one of her songs as part of a Kylie week within the series, which will take place at some point in the autumn.

Speaking about the high profile draw, a show insider said: "Dannii knew Kylie would be perfect as a coach for the show.

"She's a superstar and it's a chance in a lifetime for the contestants to learn from such a pro."

The auditions for the 2007 series of X Factor have already begun with the first episode due to hit the screens in August.
