Mischa Barton will star with Bruce Willis in a dark high school comedy.

The OC star plays a popular student who uncovers a sinister conspiracy, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The Sophomore stars Bruce Willis as the school's principal and Willis's real-life daughter Rumer as another of its pupils.

Work on the film, which was previously titled Assassination of a High School President, is due to begin in August.
