Kylie Minogue managed to double her earnings in the year she stopped working to battle cancer.

She took time off to undergo treatment for breast cancer but still managed to earn a massive £4.5 million.

According to the accounts of her company Darenote, the pop star received a £1.85 million salary, £42,366 in expenses and other earnings totaling £2.63 million.

A financial expert told ITV: "It is testimony to her amazing popularity that her finances remained in such good shape despite the well-pubicised problems with her health."
