Nicolas Cage is to star in the thriller The Vanished. He will play a father who investigates the disappearance of his American-born Muslim son abroad. The movie is being directed by Hany Abu-Assad, who previously made Paradise Now. Cage also recently announced he is to star in indie drama The Wrestler. Production is due to start in April.
