But Beyonce Knowles has taken an interesting musical turn down R 'n' B road and come out on country and western street.

Yeppers, it seems she's all about the yee-har and Stetsons these days.

The word on the grape vine is that she's enlisted the help of singer/ songwriter Amanda Ghost - the one responsible for James Blunt hit You're Beautiful - for her new album.

A source told The Sun: "Beyonce wants to try something completely different.

"She's a fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go.

"She contacted Amanda early this week and she is going over to work with her on it."

The jury's still out on this one - we have our reservations.

But if anyone can prove us wrong it's Beyonce.
