Fans of Kelly Clarkson have been told not to read too much into the tracks that have been leaked online, with Kelly admitting that most of the material was in its early stages.

Last week, four songs - Close Your Eyes, Ready, One Day and With A Little Bit Of Luck - all appeared on a LA blog against the wishes of the former American Idol winner.

She has since told Billboard: "I write all the time - lots of stuff not meant to ever be released, just working on ideas.

"The fact that people have heard music that's not ready yet sucks, but I hope they like it", she added.

It is not known whether the material, which is in various stages of readiness, will make Kelly's fourth album, due out in late 2008. The album is rumoured to take a softer, and more country-sounding route, after her dark and rocky 2007 album My December.
