Dannii Minogue has joined the cast of the British film Vauxhall Crossed. She will play MI6 Agent Rio Ruse in the spy thriller.

The X Factor judge joins Hugo Speer, Ewen MacIntosh and Sarah Jayne Dunn.

Producers are also keen to cast Rhys Ifans as the film's psychotic villain.

Dannii's role is said to be small but significant.

She plays a sexy lab tech who also wields a pump action shot gun and saves fellow agent Speer in a shoot-out.
