Metallica have revealed they have one final career ambition to fulfil - to play a gig with U2. Drummer Lars Ulrich said that while the band have performed with their heroes Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden and AC/DC, he would love nothing more than to get on stage with Bono and co. He told the Daily Star: "I'll play at one in the afternoon, in a parking lot in Ireland, I don't give a sh*t. As long as I can do that." Having headlined this summer's Reading and Leeds Festivals, Lars also revealed the band had Glastonbury firmly in their sights for 2009 - especially after Michael Eavis's controversial bookings this year. He added: "Having Jay-Z headline this year, it might open doors for other people and genres - maybe us."
