Louis Walsh has admitted he can't win this year's X Factor.

He's confessed Simon Cowell, who is looking after the over 25s and Dannii Minogue's girls are the strongest categories this year.

He told The Sun: "I'll get into the final, but I won't win."

Louis is mentoring twins John and Edward Grimes, Kandy Rain and Miss Frank but he said he wishes he had Simon's category.

Simon has favourites Danyl Johnson, Olly Murs and Jamie Archer under his wing.

Louis complained: "He always gets the best ones. They've all been round the block a fair bit. They've all got more experience than mine."

However, Simon has slammed his remarks. He told the paper: "They're not exactly going to have bags of confidence after this, are they?

"It's not a question of being spoiled for choice, it's how you prepare your contestants on the day. And I prepare my contestants better than the others."

Meanwhile, Louis has revealed that Simon's 50th birthday party at the weekend was "crazy."

He told the Daily Mirror: "Oh, it was fantastic. It was like a crazy, crazy dream.

"All these crazy people. It was one of the best parties, if not the best party I was ever at."
