Rio Ferdinand has been out and about at the premiere for Dead Man Running, a new British film he helped finance along with his England teammate Ashley Cole. His appearance on the red carpet comes at a time when Rio is under pressure on the pitch, with some claiming his off-field activities are too distracting. Ferdinand though thinks fans should stop worrying. "I've never done anything I thought would get in the way of my football," he said. "Doing this, I was doing it mainly from the comfort of my home." Dead Man Running tells the story of an ex-con given twenty-four hours to raise a hundred thousand pounds. It stars Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, Danny Dyer, Tamar Hassan, Brenda Blethyn and Monet Mazur.
