 Ananova:
Stone Roses Man Held Over 'Wife Assault' Claim

Former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting his wife.

His neighbours in west London apparently called 999 to report a disturbance at the couple's home around 8am on Monday morning.

Brown's 37-year-old Mexican wife Fabiola Quiroz, who is a model and actress, allegedly told officers when they arrived that she had been attacked.

Brown, 46, was detained on suspicion of assault and taken to a police station for questioning.

He was later freed on bail until December.

The couple have been married for 10 years and have a nine-year-old son, Emilio.

A Scotland Yard spokesman confirmed: "A 37-year-old woman made an allegation of domestic assault and a 46-year-old man was arrested at the address and taken to a police station."

Brown fronted the Stone Roses for 12 years until they split in 1996.
