Trumpet star Alison Balsom has told Sky News of her plans to use her musical skills to help children living in war zones. The Classical Brit winner is organising a concert in aid of the War Child charity. "This concert is incredibly important to me," she told Sky's Eamonn Holmes. "The way that I can help (War Child) is I can reach a lot of people as a musician." The concert will take place at London's Bloomsbury Ballroom on November 28 and will offer an evening of classical/contemporary music. Balsom said: "I have invited some of my friends, some of the world's greatest classical artists." Pop star Just Jack will perform as well as Fyfe Dangerfield, who is the frontman of indie rock band Guillemots. Balsom, who has been playing the trumpet since she was seven, was named Female Artist of the Year at this year's Classical Brit awards.
