 Ananova:
Reggie Kray to release CD from beyond the grave

Gangster Reggie Kray has been immortalised in song from beyond the grave on a pop CD, according to the killer's official website.

The £9.99 limited edition recording is being promoted only days before the Kray twin's funeral, to be held in the London's East End on Wednesday.

The site, thekrays.co.uk, says work on the project has been going on for about a year and adds that Reg was particularly keen to see the disk - called Freedom of Thought completed.

"It has been an ambition of Reg's for many years to see some of his lyrics and recitals released on a CD," the website says.

Kray, who speaks rather than sings the lines in a gravely voice, recorded the songs shortly before his death last Sunday, aged 66.

The music was provided by producer Greg Bone, who has worked with Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue and Westlife.

It was understood that Reggie Kray lays to rest the myth that Ronnie, certified insane and the more violent of the two twins, led his brother astray. The singer takes full responsibility for his past himself.

He is also believed to condemn racist violence, making an emotional appeal for the killers of Stephen Lawrence to be brought to justice.

Kray, who also declares his undying love for his wife Roberta, is said not to be apologetic for his life of crime but to have been keen to discourage others from following in his footsteps.
