The Pop Idol contestants get so scared about singing in front of millions of viewers that producers leave a sick bucket for them beside the stage.

Saturday's loser Roxanne Cooper admitted: "Michelle used it on Saturday, it was pure nerves.

"We all have just one chance to get it right and we can't mess it up."

Despite being knocked out, the 17-year-old from Hull said she would vote this weekend.

She told GMTV: "It is wide open and everyone is really good. It is a difficult choice for the public. I'll vote for Michelle because she is different and the pop world needs something different."
