Colin Farrell's personal guide on the Alexander the Great film says he needs "psychiatric help" for his hell-raising antics.

Addoul Cherkoui says Farrell is "clearly unhinged" after seeing him drink 45 beers in a night, grab a few hours sleep and then get up at 5am for filming.

Cherkoui also says Farrell drove Angelina Jolie to move hotels after he kept banging on her hotel door late at night, reports the Channel 4 website.

He said: "His behaviour was often appalling and disrespectful. He upset a lot of people. He is clearly unhinged and needs some psychiatric help about his conduct and drinking problems."

He says of one of their nights out together, "We started out at 6pm and didn't get back until 3am where he was so wasted he ended up sleeping in the car.

"That night he drank 45 beers and they went down like clockwork one after the other. He had to get up at 5am the next morning for a long day's filming, but when I saw him back at his hotel the following evening he said he felt fine and wanted to do it all over again.

"He was completely crazy - but that is Colin. We went out for four or five similar nights like that. Amazingly each time he would be up at dawn the next day for shooting. I just don't know how he does it."

However, Cherkoui says his antics failed to impress Angelina Jolie who found him "very childish".

He said: "I think Colin fancied Angelina - but she found his antics very childish and irritating and brushed him off.

"One thing led to another and Colin was soon banging on her hotel door and waking her up late at night. She was furious and insisted film bosses moved her to another hotel."
