Nicole Kidman wants to star in a radio play for the BBC and she's so keen that she'll do it for nothing. She wants to record a verse narrative called The Glass Essay, by Canadian poet Anne Carson, reports the Daily Mail. Kidman would be directed by Anthony Minghella who also directed her in highly acclaimed new movie Cold Mountain. The Glass Essay is a haunting piece about a woman who reflects on the Bronte sisters' lives after her lover has left her. "It's something I have to do," she said. "I'll just go into a recording studio with Anthony. No lights, no cameras, no make-up. Just the two of us. I'll be reading the poem and Anthony will direct me." |
