Natalie Portman has revealed that she's considering starring in a sequel to Luc Besson's Leon.

Portman played a precocious 12-year-old opposite Jean Reno as a hitman in the original film.

She revealed details of a possible sequel in an interview with People magazine about her plans after Star Wars: Episode lll.

The actress said: "If anything, it might be something with Luc Besson, a follow-up to a film I did when I was younger called Leon.

"The script's really great, and near worth delaying a vacation for. The only problem would be that I would have to hit the gym again - and at the moment I can't even envision tying my own laces up."

Leon was marketed as The Professional in the US.
