George Michael is offering fans the chance to buy his new single, Amazing, via his website ahead of its official release.

Fans can listen to a free 30-second preview of the song but will have to pay £2 to download the single onto their computers.

Co-written with Johnny Douglas who collaborated with the singer on his hits Fastlove and Outside, the song is his first since re-signing with Sony last year.

Michael has arranged and produced the track which was released to radio stations in the UK at the weekend.

The website says the single is being offered for sale as a download for fans who "cannot wait for the release of the single" but there is no official word on when the track will be released as a CD in stores.

Patience, his first album of original songs since 1996's Older, is due for release in March.
