Badly Drawn Boy to release album

Badly Drawn Boy has finished his new album which will be released in April.

The Mancunian singer-songwriter, aka Damon Gough, went back to his roots for his third full-length set, to be called One Plus One Is One.

After making 2002's Have You Fed The Fish? in Los Angeles with producer Tom Rothrock, the new album was recorded at Stockports Moolah Rouge studios with longtime collaborator and partner in Twisted Nerve records, Andy Votel.

Gough told NME.com: "The two main factors that influenced this are that it was made in Stockport and that it was was recorded with Andy Votel.

"It's my best yet, just me and Andy in a room playing bass, guitar and drums."

Songs earmarked for the album include The Holy Grail and Four Leaf Clover.

Gough is also planning to release a DVD retrospective, entitled BDB-DVD featuring all of his promotional clips to date as well as three live performances.
