Ananova:

Rolling Stone magazine has revealed its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

The Beatles come out on top with four albums in the top ten including Sgt Pepper's at No 1.

Revolver was third, Rubber Soul was fifth and the White Album at No 10 in the list.

English groups took more than half of the top ten with the Rolling Stones' Exile on Main Street seventh and The Clash's London Calling at No 8.

The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds was second in the list, Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited was fourth, Marvin Gaye's What's Going On was at no 6 and Dylan's Blonde on Blonde was ninth.
