 Ananova:
Jack White 'done with' Elephant

Jack White says he's "done with" promoting Elephant and wants to take time off to write new material.

The White Stripes frontman reckons it's time to move on despite the success of the album.

He told Radio One's John Peel: "We're done with Elephant, and we're not touring any more on that album so, I just need a break.

"We've toured the world on it, so I guess I got to get inspired again. When you keep playing every night, every night, and we put so much energy every night into it.

"I don't like to write songs on the road, so I need to just go home and rest."

Elephant was many critics' choice for best album of 2003 and is nominated for album of the year at the Grammys this weekend.
