Queen have topped a poll to find the greatest rock anthems of all time.

We Will Rock You was in first place, followed by another of the band's hits, Bohemian Rhapsody.

Meanwhile Led Zepellin's Stairway To Heaven was relegated to 18th place, below Status Quo's Rocking All Over The World and Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell.

They were one of only three acts from the last 15 years to make it into the Top 20.

The others were Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, which came third, and The Best by Tina Turner, in ninth place. The Darkness only managed a lowly number 19 with I Believe In A Thing Called Love.

Other hits in the Top 10 included Bon Jovi's Livin' On A Prayer in fifth place, Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor in eighth spot and The Final Countdown by Europe in fourth.

Aerosmith and Rum DMC's Walk This Way scored 11th place, while The Clash were given 15th spot for Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

The poll of 1,000 people was carried out by UCI Cinemas to mark the release of new Jack Black comedy School of Rock.
