Louise Redknapp says she gets embarrassed when people compare her to the characters in Footballers' Wives.

The pop star, married to Spurs footballer Jamie Redknapp, admits to being a fan of the ITV show but reckons it's too far-fetched to be believable.

And she says her favourite character is cocaine snorting Tania, played by Zoe Lucker.

Louise told Ananova: "I think the programme's good fun but it's completely over the top. It's kind of embarrassing if you're married to a footballer. Do people really think I do things like that?

"It's silly and not real life. Do I look bling? Not at all. I think I'm understated. There's no jacuzzi with three or four people in my house, I can assure you."

Louise is planning another pop comeback, following the success of her 2003 single Pandora's Kiss.

"I've spent far too much time off but I've got a new record out in April," she says. "It's a lot heavier than Pandora's Kiss. I'm trying to change and move on. It's more urban pop and funk."
