Lou Reed is planning to release an album of meditation music.

He said: "I'm going to put together a CD of some meditation music I made. Good for doing the various chi's to and/or meditation.

"These things reflect our interests and we hope those of you with similar tastes might enjoy these creations."

Reed says he hopes to include a meditation instruction from Dr S Peng.

The singer releases a new double live album, Animal Serenade, on March 22.

Meanwhile, he also plans to offer for sale signed prints from his photo book Emotion In Action published last year.

A different print will be offered for sale each month costing about £270, he says on loureed.com.
