Jade Goody is undergoing tests in hospital after collapsing on the set of the television show Back to Reality.

The Big Brother star suffered "severe stomach cramps" and blacked out last night in the bathroom of the mansion in Acton where the Channel 5 reality programme was being filmed.

Housemate James Hewitt was first on the scene to help before paramedics arrived on set, watched by about one million viewers.

Meanwhile, Goody's boyfriend Jeff Brazier had been giving an interview with host Richard Bacon about his 24 hours in the mansion which had been fraught with arguments over his presence, with Goody at the centre of the bust-up.

Goody, who has been among the favourites to win the show, was taken to the Central Middlesex Hospital in Acton where she is undergoing tests, a spokesman for the show said.

He said: "She has been taken to hospital in an ambulance. We do not know the cause of this.

"She recovered after collapsing but the show's producers were concerned and called emergency services. We are awaiting news of what it is regarding.

He added: "The lady that accompanied Jade to the hospital said the only thing Jade could say was, 'Don't worry, I will be back in the show. I hope I'm not going to miss out for whatever reason'."
