 Ananova:
Gigli gathers crop of Golden Raspberries

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's Gigli has been recognised as the worst film of last year.

The movie picked up no fewer than six Razzies in annual awards to spotlight Hollwood's less-than-glowing achievements.

The BBC reports that the event, which is always timed to take place on the eve of the Oscars, was, unsurprisingly, not attended by any of the nominees.

Mike Myers' Cat in the Hat had been in the running in many of the same categories as Gigli, but had to settle for just one award in a new category: the Worst Excuse for an Actual Movie.

Meanwhile Sylvester Stallone set a new benchmark with his tenth Razzie, this year's accolade recognising his work in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over.

Besides Worst Film, Gigli won Worst Actor, Worst Actress, Worst Screen Couple, Worst Director and Worst Screenplay.
