Sarah Jessica Parker and hubby Matthew Broderick are teaming up for the film Strangers With Candy.

Hollywood Reporter says the couple have agreed to star in the big screen version of the Comedy Central cult series.

The original series was about a frumpy outcast who returns to school after 30 years of living on the streets and in prison, and is forced to mingle with kids who are more fashionable and beautiful than she is.

The show's co-creator Amy Sedaris starred in the original series, and has also acted alongside Parker in Sex And The City as Carrie Bradshaw's editor.

It's still unclear what characters Broderick and Parker will be playing. Filming for the project is set to start in June in New York.
