Ricky Gervais has confirmed that he will make an appearance in The Simpsons.

It was widely reported that Gervais had turned down a part in the show, which he later denied.

He's now told Heat magazine that he will voice a character.

Gervais recently met Simpsons creator Matt Groenig who told him he was a massive fan of The Office.

"I asked what the hours were like. He said they were easy. So, of course, I said I'd love to," he said.
