Ben Affleck says he can't get Jennifer Lopez out of his mind, and he's glad they're back on speaking terms.
"It's a horribly sad time for me right now," the actor told German magazine Frau im Spiegel. "I'm constantly thinking: 'Hey, the person who occupied the most important place in your life doesn't belong to you any more.' How can I possibly deal with that?" Affleck says he and Lopez are back in contact again now, and seem to be hitting it off again: "We phone each other all the time again now and we're getting along really well. "I had such a great time with her and I'll never forget it," the 31-year-old added, raving about his ex. "Jennifer is such a remarkable, beautiful and active woman." He said he was not ready for a new relationship and added: "I'm still dealing with the break-up and looking for reasons for the failure of our relationship. "I can't and don't want to leap into a new relationship. I'm a single man who's got to learn how to live alone again first. Sometimes I go out with friends - that's all." The actor went on to call himself a "double loser" because of his romantic failures: "I'm a double loser. First my relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow fails and then the love between Jennifer and me." Affleck says their public lifestyle may have been one reason the relationship failed: "We should have tried to live our love in a more quiet way, not go to every party, not smile into every camera. But we were so in love we didn't notice what was happening to us." |
