Steve McFadden reportedly dashed 100 miles to see his ex-girlfriend Angela Bostock give birth.

The EastEnders star earlier refused to confirm or deny Angela's claim that the baby was his.

But his rush from north London to the Salisbury District Hospital in Wiltshire showed his concern.

Angela gave birth to a 7lb 6oz girl who will be called either Emily or Tia, says Heat magazine.

She said that the couple - and their six-year-old daughter Teona - were delighted with the new arrival.

She said: "Steve turned up at the hospital to give comfort to me. He rushed down with our daughter Teona and my emotions just took over.

"The two of them really did make a difference and it crowned one of the happiest days of my life."

Earlier this year, Steve split up from former co-star and girlfriend Lucy Benjamin.
